I am Made, a 39-year-old formally trained school teacher still working at a formal school too. I’m married and have two children. I have worked at this foundation for almost sixteen years as a Pembina (facilitator for children during the learning process). Gemah Ripah Pacung Foundation has a program called Learning While Playing (BSB). This program is designed to help children in the learning process outside of formal school. The BSB program is very different from the learning program at school, each lesson is designed to include playing. This is one of the reasons why this place is a favorite place for children as well as the teachers. YRGP provides many things; a library, complete learning media, computers, teachers who are always ready to help everyone to learn. Therefore, this place is very important to support the progress of children’s education in Pacung and other villages. I myself am motivated to improve children’s education at school and in this village through the BSB Program at YGRP. This is the main reason why this place must continue to stand strong in the following years.
